Short introductory for manga

Manga is a Japanese word for comics in general. Outside Japan, the term manga is used exclusively used to refer to Japanese comics.

The manga covers various genres, and reaches audiences in different spectrums and diverse. Manga is a very important part of the Japanese publishing industry and motivates many adaptations for various formats: animated series, known as anime, film, video games, and novels.

This is literally translated as “informal image” or “doodles”. Japanese people call it ‘not significant images’, also in manga because they buy every year more than 1 billion volumes in black and white, printed on cheap paper. Professional to write โดจิน or draw manga is known as a manga artist.

Manga industry

Manga in Japan is a true mass phenomenon. One facts served to describe the magnitude of this phenomenon: In 1989, 38% of all books and magazines published in Japan were manga.

As you can guess with this number, manga is not just FAD for young people. In Japan there are manga for all ages and social status, including housewives, clerks, adolescents, office workers, etc. Erotic manga also known as hentai is a quarter of total sales.

Magazines Manga is one of the most popular forms of manga distribution in Japan that sell millions of copies every week. Shonen Jump Magazine, the most popular manga magazine in Japan sells around 6 million copies every week. Shonen magazine follows around 4 million copies.

Manga magazine is a weekly or monthly publication between 200 and 900 pages where there are many manga series consisting of between 20 to 40 magazine pages. This magazine is usually printed in low-quality black and white paper with exception cover and usually a few pages from the start. If the series becomes successful, they tend to be published for several years in a magazine.

Another variant that has emerged as a result of the proliferation of file sharing through the internet is a digital format called e-comic. The most widely used e-comics format is.cbr and.cz, which basically really is a set of compressed files (rar and zip, respectively) with images in a format such as JPEG or GIF in it.
